Antioxidants are substances protecting the body from so-called ‘free radicals’. These free radicals are the products of everyday processes in our bodies, metabolism and aging, but their levels can also be increased by pollution, incorrect diet, smoking and unhealthy lifestyle, as well as stress. Oversaturation with free radicals can lead to chronic diseases formation and even cancer and can permanently damage the cells.
