Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin that can be stored in our body and cooked in higher temperatures. It is best absorbed when consumed with some fat. Large amounts can be stored in the body, predominantly in the liver. Its key function is maintaining good night vision, human development, reproduction and cell growth and nervous system development. Liver and green leafy vegetables are excellent sources of vitamin A.
